SpeedFC, a provider of end-to-end e-commerce services for retail and manufacturing companies, has selected Vanessa J. Castagna to join its board of directors.
Castagna has more than 35 years of experience working with Fortune 50 companies in the retail industry. She has been listed as one of Fortune Magazine's "50 Most Powerful Women in Business" for four consecutive years, and as appeared for two years on Forbes Magazine's "100 Most Powerful Women" list. She is a key retail consultant and advisor to many private investors and equity managers and currently sits on the Board of Levi Strauss and Co.
Castagna is the former Chairwoman of Mervyn's Department Stores and the former CEO and Chairwoman of JCPenney Stores, Catalogue and Internet. She has held senior level merchandising positions with Wal-Mart and Target, and began her career with Federated Department Stores. She has also been a member of Cerberus Capital Management Operations team.
